Pearl Sutton Religious School
Welcome to the Pearl Sutton Religious School! We offer a unique, hands-on curriculum designed to inspire a love of Judaism in every child. Recognizing that each child learns differently, our Judaic curriculum is tailored to specific grade levels, ensuring students engage deeply with core Jewish teachings. Each grade focuses on key areas of Jewish life, including Jewish values, our relationship with God, Torah, and Israel.
Our Hebrew program is equally personalized, with lessons organized by grade and skill level. This allows students to progress at their own pace in learning both Hebrew and prayer.
Our dedicated faculty uses creative, interactive teaching methods that not only engage students but also encourage families to become active participants in the learning process. Through experiential learning opportunities, we foster a deeper connection to Jewish traditions and values. Under the guidance of our Education Director, Rebecca Gordon, the Board of Trustees, and our Rabbi, we have developed a dynamic and innovative program that is responsive to the needs of today’s families.
To accommodate the busy schedules of our students, our program balances educational, social, and extracurricular commitments. Sunday school runs from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with a focus on Torah and Jewish values in a creative, engaging environment. After grade-specific lessons, all students gather for a 20-30 minute session with Morah Erica, where they actively engage in their siddur (prayer book) learning. Students also explore holidays, Hebrew letters, the power of mitzvah, Tikkun Olam (repairing the world), and more.
Our 6th and 7th graders focus on preparing for their Bar/Bat Mitzvah, delving deeply into the traditional Shabbat service and learning the significance of bringing Sabbath into their homes.
Starting in the 2024-2025 year, we are excited to introduce our Whole Mishpacha programming. These family events will include Havdalah gatherings, special occasions, learning opportunities, and more. Throughout the year, parents will also have the chance to engage in their child’s learning during special school-wide/family learning days.
We are thrilled to welcome you and your family to a program that brings Jewish learning to life in fun, engaging, and impactful ways!
