The Short Story

Donate to GLT's PreK Scholarship Fund and receive ALL your money back when you file your state income tax.

You may even be eligible to use the donation as a federal tax deduction as well! There is no catch! It's as simple as it sounds!

Every resident of Georgia can participate. Ask your friends, relatives, neighbors, etc to help as well!

Act now before time runs out and go to www.georgiasso.com/donors to apply to make your donation! You'll receive the entire amount back as a state tax credit when you file your 2024 state tax return. The money you donate will go towards funding Gesher L'Torah Pre-Kindergarten scholarships. 

Note: This is just an application. Your donation will not be requested until after it is approved by the state and then you will have 60 days to fund it. Every year, the State of GA offers funding to provide scholarships to students attending private schools with a statewide limit of $120 million. The GLT Pre-K program has qualified to be a part of this program, but we need your help.  

The way it works is as follows: Each GA taxpayer can choose to participate in the program. You can "re-allocate" your tax dollars towards any qualified school that you would like (Ideally the GLT preschool!!!). For every dollar you put towards this program, you receive a dollar back as a Georgia tax CREDIT. Thus, the net cost to participate in the program is $0.  In addition to this, you may be able deduct the contribution as a charitable donation on your federal tax return (consult your tax professional). The limit for a single person is $2,500, married is $5,000, and if you own a business, you can donate up to $25,000 as an S-Corporation or 75% of the tax liability of a C-Corporation.

*We recommend applying for the full amount allowed. You are not required to fund the complete amount for which you are approved.  

Time is of the essence, as the annually allowed $120 million is expected to be used up quickly. So, if you would like to participate, we request you get all of your paperwork in as soon as possible. Our Student Scholarship Organization, GASSO, is ready to process them immediately. If your application is accepted, you will receive a notice from the state and will have 60 days to send in your contribution.
